Dr. Lamont W. Browne founded BreakPoint Advising with a singular conviction: mission-driven organizations deserve consulting that addresses root causes, not symptoms. With over 15 years of executive leadership experience spanning education, nonprofit management, and organizational consulting, Lamont has built his career on a simple principle, transformation requires the courage to break from what's familiar and the discipline to build what actually works.

Before launching BreakPoint Advising, Lamont led organizational transformation at every level: as CEO of Delaware's first charter management organization (growing a startup to $22 million and 2,100 students), as Chief Innovation Officer overseeing 15 schools and 12,000 students in Aurora Public Schools, and as Vice President at MGT Consulting Group where he founded the firm's organizational solutions and DEI practice, delivering high-impact consulting to over 50 clients nationwide.

His approach is grounded in experience, not theory. He's led organizations through crisis, growth, and turnaround. He's built leadership pipelines, redesigned performance systems, and navigated the messy reality of organizational change when stakeholders resist and systems break under pressure. This firsthand knowledge of what leaders face, and what actually moves organizations forward, shapes every BreakPoint engagement.

Lamont doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all frameworks. Founding executive director overseeing 15 innovation and charter schools with nearly 900 employees and 12,000 students. Managed the district's school turnaround framework, leading performance improvement initiatives for underperforming schools.


CEO, Eastside Charter School / Vision Academy Charter Schools (2011–2016)
